We made it to 36 weeks!

Today I hit the big 36 week mark!  I find that very exciting, but it also hit me that very soon, perhaps any day, we will have two new baby girls in our family!  Wow!  While I'm ready to be done being pregnant, I'm not quite sure I'm ready for that yet!  My home birth stuff is pretty much all together, and I have a short(ish) list of things I really want to get done before these bundles of joy arrive.
At the last BPP, both were head down still, and scored an 8/8.  I still feel like it's a bit overkill to continue all these ultrasound checks, because I'm 99.9% sure that everything is awesome, but just on that tiny chance I continue to go.  I have an internal dilemma with that every time.
My baby shower was last weekend, and it was so fun to see all my friends that I haven't seen much lately.  We now have carseats for these little ones, as well as an abundance of cute, matching clothes, Moby wraps and pacifiers.  Theses babies are spoiled already!  I am so grateful for all of my family and friends!
Yesterday we attempted to do family/maternity pictures, but the weather was quite uncooperative.  It started to hail/snow on us!  I stuck it out and got some belly shots, but the rest of it will wait until tomorrow.  I'm praying the weather is as nice as it's supposed to be!
So, now the real countdown begins... will it be tonight or four weeks from now?  I just know it's the next big thing for us right now!

35 Weeks!

Today I am 35 weeks pregnant with our twin girls!  I'm so excited to have hit this mark, as many twin mamas don't make it so far!  Our ultrasound yesterday showed that baby A is about 4 lb, 7oz., and baby B is about 4 lb., 15 oz.  That's over a pound more for each baby since our last ultrasound 2 weeks ago! Those creamscicle protein shakes must be doing the trick.  Also, this is the day that clears us for a home birth for our twins.  We had our home visit with our midwife on Monday so that we would be ready for birth as soon as they could be born at home.  I finished a little project in our bathroom with some fabulous art on the walls of my other babies at the beach.  There are new little blankets and hats made during my couch time, and clothes are washed and ready to go!  I'm hoping that these babies cook another couple weeks and gain some more weight, but it's definitely getting close now!  Crazy!
